Bringing together experts in the field of design research working at the intersection of participatory practices, data ethics, and healthcare, the discussion invites all interested participants to join the dialogue, ask questions, and actively engage with the presenters.
The following experts will contribute by presenting their work, before opening the dialogue: Arthi Manohar, Senior Lecturer and Director for the BSC Product Design in Brunel Design School; Aylin Tschoepe, Professor of Design Anthropology, Head of Research ICDP Basel Academy of Art and Design, Head of metaLAB (at) at Basel; Laura Ferrarello, Lecturer at the EPFL in Lausanne; Teresa Almeida, Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon and Researcher at ITI/LARSyS; Paulina Yurman, Research Fellow and Lecturer at the University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins.
Participation is in-person, free and open to everyone interested.

The event is chaired by Serena Cangiano, senior research associate at SUPSI Institute of Design and principal at metaLAB (at) Basel. Coordination and moderation by Ginevra Terenghi, doctoral student at SUPSI and Brunel University London. Advisor and speaker of the program Aylin Tschoepe, director and co-founder at metaLAB (at) Basel. The event is promoted by the four-year research project MAKEAWARE!-SPEARHEAD Innosuisse Flagship 2022-2025.
