Juliana Castro-Varón
AffiliateJuliana is a creative director, designer, and writer. She’s the founder of the award-winning open-access publisher Cita Press, funded by the Mellon Foundation. Currently, Juliana is a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard, where she researches the history of image manipulation and design’s impact on credibility. Her interests range from experimental storytelling, AI-artist collaborations, and 17th-to-19th-century literature. In 2016 she received a Fulbright for Artists. Her illustrated essay collection Papel Sensible was published in 2022 by Planeta. She speaks English, Spanish, Italian, Celsius, and Centimeters.
