Ramona Mosse
AffiliateTheatre Scholar and dramaturg Ramona Mosse is the Head of Theatre at the Zurich University of the Arts, Switzerland. Previously, she was Principal Investigator of the VolkswagenFoundation funded artistic research project “Viral Theatres: Performing Post/Pandemic Cultures in the Anthropocene” at the Excellence Cluster EXC 2020 ’Temporal Communities’, as well as a fellow at the International Center for Interweaving Performance Cultures at Freie Universität Berlin. Ramona’s research focuses on the interaction between digital and environmental arts and humanities, performance in the Anthropocene, immersive performance, and post/pandemic theatre practices. She is also one of the founding members of the interdisciplinary Performing Water-Research Platform and Zoom Seminar Series and has published widely on theatre ecologies, intermedial performance, artistic research, modern tragedy, and contemporary political theatre. Ramona has taught at Columbia University, Barnard College, Freie Universität Berlin, and the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main. In her theatre practice, she is particularly focused on developing digital and hybrid dramaturgies in performance.
Ramona holds a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. At metaLAB, she co-chairs Transmedia Arts Seminar.
